Fuel Your Creativity with Catherine Bennett

I can’t keep hanging baskets alive for more than a few weeks. Something about them needing water…

Catherine has better luck.

Catherine's hanging basket

I cannot deny that I love summer!  One of my hobbies is gardening, especially arranging beautiful, overflowing planters.

I find that I can keep them going well into fall, while the stuff in the ground die a slow death from root chewing bugs. Usually I plant the same annuals every year, but sometimes I see something in the nursery that I want to try.  Here’s a photo of one of my favorite hanging baskets!

COVER BLURB:

Love. Desire. A psycho bent on revenge. But can Charlie Reynolds recognize the most dangerous of the three?

Since being out on her own at eighteen, Charlotte “Charlie” Reynolds is a street-smart “good” girl who hides her desire for love and security behind her feisty and independent personality. She just never expected a more noxious hero than wealthy, self-consumed Evan Gardner, the CEO and founder of Valley Tech., a successful software company in Los Angeles. From the moment Evan rescues her from an apparent random attack, their attraction for each other bubbles just below the surface of all-out passion.Trouble with Charlie

  1. I tried to look up what to call the opposite of green thumb, because that’s what I have. I cannot grow anything, so we’ve resorted to silk and plastic plants. Your hanging pots are beautiful!

    1. Yes! The one in the photo took five pots. I don’t buy the little packs of annuals, instead I buy four or five larger, individual ones. A bit more expensive, but it fills the container quicker. Also, after a few weeks, when the fertilizer in the potting soil leaches out from watering, it’s important to fertilize (I use Miracle Grow Bloom Booster) twice a week. As far as potting soil, I buy soil specifically for pots. And water everyday when the temps get above 80 degrees.
